Kiyo is made with top quality birch plywood, it also features an innovative and patented snare system: the Pre Tuned Tapa.
A system consists of ten wire springs which are stuck in the inner side of the beating surface of the cajon with high resistance thermic glue at an optimum tension.
This way the percussionist doesn't have to worry about tuning the snares, and the risk of string breakage is greatly diminished.
